New Mexico Landscapes

In 2005 Polina traveled to New Mexico to paint what she saw and experienced. She spent four months in a nearly-ghost town called Vaughn, located on the east side of the state. The landscape in that area is mostly flat  with expansive sky and intricate cloud formations, further north the landscape becomes mountainous. Polina traveled in her car to near and far locations to take photographs and make sketches which were later used to create this series of Land and Mountain paintings.  This is the full series of paintings.

All paintings are acrylic on primed cotton paper, 24" x 36" painted in 2005, $ 2,400 US each
